Do these guys look related? They should. They are the two sides of the same figure - there is a face on both sides of the head.

This creature is made mostly out of recycled food packaging. The body core is a 2-liter soda bottle. The clothing is burlap from a coffee bean sack. The sash and rope belt are also from the coffee bean bag. The head is a crushed paper egg carton. The neck is a piece of the cardboard roll from inside a roll of paper towels. The shoes are more egg carton. The arms are drift wood. The whole thing is painted with acrylic.

This guy was inspired by noting what looked like a face after stomping on an empty egg carton to compact it and put it in the garbage. I coated the carton with gesso, and used acrylic modeling paste to stick the two faces together. Then I just kept on gluing junk together to make the complete figure. Add a bit of paint, and we've an interesting character.

The gold sash tends to suggest this guy is a high ranking citizen in his world. Wherever that is!
